Each insurance policy determines the out-of-pocket expense for mental health services.

Mental Health benefits often differ from services offered by medical doctors, psychiatrists, etc.

Some insurance policies allow Reef Wellness to accept a co-payment for mental health services. A co-pay is a flat fee insurance requires you to pay for each session.
Other policies are written for mental health services to apply to an individual and/or family deductible. Paying towards the deductible is a monetary threshold the insurance policy requires you to pay before insurance steps in to offer financial assistance for services. This means Reef Wellness must adhere to the deductible rate set by the insurance provider. Once that threshold is met, your out-of-pocket expanses will reduce and the insurance provider will share costs for services.

It is important to know your mental health benefits within your insurance policy. 

At Reef Wellness, we aim to provide an estimate for out-of-pocket expenses prior to the session. This estimate is taken directly from your insurance policy; other counseling providers in our area will likely receive the same benefit details.
Clients do reserve the right to see a counselor outside of their insurance network. Reef Wellness can offer clients a Superbill upon request; a superbill this is a document some insurance companies accept to reimburse funding back to their members. Consider services from a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) and/or Graduate Student Intern outside of the insurance network of benefits when/if there is a high-deductible insurance plan. 

Often, these individuals offer services at lower more affordable rates.
